

Jennifer Mitchell, M.S. Ed.
Ms. Mitchell has her Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology and
her Master’s degree in Intensive Special Needs with a concentration in
Autism. She holds a Georgia teaching certificate and has taught Special Education
in the public schools for 7 years. She has been working with children with
autism since 1993 and received her training at the New England Center for Autism,
in Massachusetts. She is currently working as the Autism Consultant for the Marietta
City Schools in addition to supervising at Summit Autism Center.
Shauna Courtney, M.Ed., BCBA
Ms. Courtney has her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education
and her Master’s degree in Special Education, with a concentration in Autism/Emotional
Disorders. She has been working with children with autism since 1994, receiving
her training through various Behavior Analysts, as well as attending workshops.
She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has been providing consultation
and direct therapy to children with autism, focusing on intensive behavioral
intervention.
Summit Autism Center Staff
Our therapists hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related
field. They all come to Summit Autism Center with experience with children
with Autism. All staff are trained on-site and receive daily supervision.
