History

Summit Autism Center was founded in 2004 by Jennifer Mitchell and Shauna Courtney. Their aim was to provide individualized direct therapy to children with autism utilizing the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Summit Autism Center has grown from a small therapy center to a fully accredited private school and therapy clinic.  Our facility has grown from 1500 square feet to over 6,500 square feet. Our current facility features multiple classrooms, a lunchroom, and a sensory gym.  In addition, many technological advances have been made, such as the use of tablets for data collection via Catalyst.

In 2013, the parents of Summit Autism Center students formed a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and it has been awarded 501(c)(3) status.  The goal of the PTO is to benefit and raise money for our students.
